Creative Workshops
Delivered over half a day (2 hours) or a full day (5 hours), creative workshops draw upon images of Graffiti, positive Rap lyrics, DJ techniques and innovative ideas to develop movement. They include improvisation influenced by popular culture that can be specifically tailored for young men and boys.
Workshop movement styles:
Physical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Breakin’ (Breakdancing), Funkstyles (Lockin’ and Poppin’) and Freestyle Street Dance
Content includes: a solo or duet short performance, a physical warm up, choreography, creative writing and movement and creating performance for non-theatrical spaces
Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to combine dance with other art forms and techniques.
All workshops include artist fees, session planning and materials. Materials budget may differ depending on the content of the session(s). Exclude and necessary accommodation or travel.
